School of Clinical Medicine DTP-MR Studentships
The School of Clinical Medicine will offer at least 9 fully funded four-year PhD studentships to start October 2023.
Studentships must be based in the School of Clinical Medicine, and fall under one of the following research themes.
- Neurosciences and Mental Health
- Infections and Immunity
- Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms of Disease
- Data Science for Health
The programme is structured as 0.5 + 3.5, and in the first 6 months students will undertake two 3 month rotations projects in different laboratories. These projects will be in different disciplinary areas related to your field of research, and will allow refinement of your PhD project in line with your emerging research interests as the programme progresses.
Students will indicate their preferred area of research, by choosing up to three projects of interest from the list of example projects listed.
The studentships provide an annual stipend for 4 years, (currently £20,168 for 2022/23), together with University fees and research costs. In addition to excellent research facilities, students will have access to a wide variety of training and researcher development activities, many of which are offered through the Postgraduate School of Life Sciences and the wider University, and the opportunity to apply for an additional 3 month funded external placement.
The SCM DTP-MR and University of Cambridge actively support equality, diversity and inclusion and we encourage applications from eligible applicants from all sections of society.
Please see the How to Apply page for further details on how to fill out your application form.
